Last month, Microsoft unveiled the next Hotmail. With an interface reworked slightly, the webmail will benefit from new sorting features automatic or manual and an enhanced spam protection. Microsoft does not hide it : Windows Live Hotmail Wave 4 should compete with Gmail while targeting a wider audience with different ergonomics. Now Microsoft has revealed the future products of the software suite Windows Live Essentials. This time it's Apple who is in the line of sight. To recall, the Windows Live Essentials Pack Wave 4 is composed of Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Mail, Sync, Messenger, Writer, and Family Safety. On its website promotion, Microsoft provides a new comparison table. While the iLife '09 software are charged 100, some of which are added to the annual subscription to MobileMe, Windows Live products are delivered free. Microsoft states that support multicast for each application is not confined to the trackpad but also to touch screens. The functionality of Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker + DVD Maker, Mail, Writer and Family Safety, respectively compared to those of iChat, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD +, Mail.app, iWeb and parental control tools for Mac OS X.
