Internet explorer does not allow to login to Banking websites

Hello, I am facing some weird problem with Internet explorer which is installed on my computer. My computer was previously installed with Windows Xp operating system which I upgraded to Windows Vista. Internet explorer 8 was installed on Windows XP and it worked fine but after upgrading the operating system, Internet explorer does not allow to login to Banking websites. I dont understand why this is happening and hence need your help in solving the issue. Please help if any of you has a solution.

I think the Internet explorer which is installed on your computer is corrupt due to which you are facing such an error. All the applications which are installed on the computer have lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the files of the application gets corrupt then the application will not work properly. The only solution to such problem is to replace the files which have been corrupted. Once the corrupted files are replaced, you will not face the same problem. Uninstall the browser and then remove all the keys/files which are associated to the browser. Once all the traces of the browser are removed, reinstall the application and check if the browser is working.

Are there any add-on/applications installed on the browser? If yes then it could be the possible reason why the websites are not opening. Some times files of the add-on/application are corrupt. If such an application is installed on the browser, it will corrupt the files of the browser. Once the files of the browser are corrupt, some features or functions will not work properly. Try disabling all the add-on/application which are installed on the browser and then check if the browser is working properly or not. If the browser works properly after disabling all the add-on/applications, then find and remove the application which is creating problem.

Some websites have expired SSL certificates. If the website which you are trying to access has an expired SSL certificate then the browser will not allow you to access the website. Check if the website which you are trying to visit has expired SSL certificate or not. If the SSL certificate has expired, then open Internet explorer and go to Internet options. In the internet options, remove the check mark against the option which says "Check for SSL certification" and save the settings. Once done, restart the browser and see if the website is accessible or not.

There is a high chance that your computer is infected with some kind of virus which is not letting you access the banking website. Virus's get downloaded while downloading some data from the Internet. Some virus's have the tendency to link with the files of the applications which are used frequently. If such situation arises then the application whose file has been corrupted will not work properly. Therefore scan the system and check for all the infected files. Repair/quarantine the files which are infected and then see if the browser is working properly or not. If the number of files infected and related to the browser are more then you will have to reinstall the browser again.
