With Windows Live Messenger you can instantly communicate by text messages with your friends in the community MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger. You manage your list of contacts in freedom and you are notified when one of them connects to the service . In order to install this application on your Virgin Mobile go to download application ExcessMail from the WAP portal of Virgin Mobile by clicking on the links all categories and then clicking on the Windows Live Messenger.

Look in the application menu on your phone. Once the Windows Live Messenger installed, you can access it by throwing it from the menu of your phone. Depending on your phone model you can find the application.

You must have a Windows Live ID to login to the application. After starting the application, a page appears and prompts you for permission to connect to the network. We recommend you always select yes. A page is loading, before reaching the login screen.

You go to the window where you can enter your personal information (e-mail, password) you must take into account the upper and lower case when typing. Select Remember password if you want your password to be saved for future connections.

You can leave the application directly by selecting Exit from the menu. Note that on some phones it is possible to put the application in the background to access the phone menu without closing the application.

The contact list displays the names of your contacts and shows, through separate icons, status of availability. If you create groups from your PC application, you will find these groups on your mobile, if your contacts are assembled into a single group named Contacts. You can browse the list of contacts using the arrows up and down the joystick or press # to go down and the * key to go up.

If one of your contacts change nickname, his new nickname will be displayed in your contact list instead of his e-mail. The icon to the left of each name indicates the availability of your contact. Each time a contact changes status, your contact list is updated and displays its new status. Remember that if someone in your contact list connects with a mobile, small mobile phone icon will appear with the status of the contact.

From your list of contacts, you can start a conversation, add contacts or delete contacts from your contacts list. In the Buddy List window, select the name of a contact. Select Menu and management contacts. A sub-menu appears with several options:
    • Add a contact
    • Blocking a contact
    • Delete contacts
    • View profile information to contact

You can easily select an option from the context menu by pressing the corresponding number.

If you decide to block a contact, this contact you will appear offline status and can no longer send you a message. To block a contact, select the contact from the contacts list and then Menu> Manage Contacts> Block. You can permanently delete a contact from your contacts list by selecting Menu> Managing Contacts> Delete. When you delete a contact, you can block it. In this case, your contact will not see your status displayed. If you do not block the contact, he / she can still see your status and talk with you.

To start a conversation select the name of a contact, a conversation window appears, you can compose your message. Your text will appear in the lower part of the conversation window, press the central OK the phone to send your message. When your contact replies, the message appears below your own. A different tab is opened each conversation. When a conversation is initiated, a new tab appears and a talk bubble next to the icon status of the contact that you just send a message.

To move from one tab to another, use the left and right joystick navigation on your mobile. To navigate in a conversation, use the up and down the joystick. When you receive a new message, you will notice that the name of the tab of the conversation changes color (it turns red) and the conversation bubble placed next to the icon status of the contact who sent the message becomes also red (once you have read the message, the name of the conversation tab and the bubble of conversation again become black.)
