Does swapping dns improves web speed

    Hi,
I am facing a slow web surfing issue on my computer. I had seen that the changing dns settings can make this thing work much better. But I am not sure about the service. What are the free services available online in this part. What about OpenDNS. Does swapping to this can improve the surfing experience.

By changing the addresses of DNS servers used by your Internet connection to those servers as the fastest servers of OpenDNS or Google Public DNS, you can speed up the loading of pages you visit. The DNS servers are used by your Internet connection to make the correspondence between a domain name.

It well that using a Internet via domain names instead of the ip address. When you enter a url to open a page the images of the site are downloaded and loaded. For this purpose the DNS is utilized. Every ISP has its own DNS server which communicate with the other and so on the internet co-ordination works.

The ISPs around the internet used the DNS server which has quiet a good speed. You can use Google Public DNS or OpenDNS which are for free use. The same web surfing can be acclerated by using the DNS server rather than sticking with the ISP. By this you can allow internet access the Internet in case of difficulties on the DNS of your ISP or if filters or restrictions, particularly abroad.

It is fine that a simple change in the parameters of your network connection on your computer and allow you to use these DNS servers more efficient. OpenDNS and Google Public DNS put both their DNS servers at your disposal. Depending on your ISP internet and your region, one or the other may be faster. To you test both and choose the one that suits you best. And if you're not satisfied, you can easily return to your original configuration.

If you really thinking to get a service from the OpenDNS then at the service level it is easy to get it by registration. You can just add up a small program and then setup the setting. Like for example the parental blocking, security, etc. There is lot things to do here. Like if a wrong url is entered then you are redirected to a different ad page.
