The error Fatal Error: Unable to create socket on Port 4662, occurs if another application is using port 4662 for connections. It usually happens, especially when you buy something eMule and eDonkey at once without having changed in either the listening port. It is recommended to use eMule and eDonkey or eMule and Overnet at once if you have the bandwidth (up) to do it.
If you are running a router that might have cause it. Because you need to tell the router that port 4662 internally is the same external. Otherwise the connections will just be ignored, this is called "portmapping". The bug is already isolated in conjunction with the board here described in "Restart Tool" has been observed.
Fatal Error: Unable to establish connection on port 4662. This error occurs if another application uses port 4662 for reporting TCP / IP. Most cases, it may happen when you use eMule for eDonkey without putting them into two different ports. It is not recommended to use eMule and eDonkey or eMule and Overnet same time unless you have the bandwidth (download) to do so. The connection between the eDonkey and Overnet is already established by default on the hybrid version.
Admin can block specific ports known to him as a port for your application. However, as shown above, our P2P is getting smarter and can rotate to any ports are blocked if the default. In this case, we can easily choose another port that is open. And we do so in the settings of the application itself.
Change the ports for example, about 100 or greater or have any other larger since 1024 You change them in Settings-> Connection in eMulu. Then restart eMule. The official list of ports and their types
- eDonkey, eMule and various clones: default TCP and UDP 4662-4672 but you can choose the same
- Bittorent: default TCP 6881-6889 but you can choose the same
