Any revolutionizes you make while using Firefox are stored in files so that they can be used the next time you run Firefox. These revolutionizes can be understandable, like your home page, or revolutionizes you have made to the toolbar, but also comprise things like your history, what sites you have visited, and text you have entered into forms like search fields. They are all stored in the same location, called a profile folder.

These files are kept unconnectedly from the program files that Firefox uses to run, which don't change. This means that you can uninstall Firefox without losing your settings, and that if something goes wrong with an update your information in sequence will still be there. It also means you do not have to reinstall Firefox in order to clear your information in sequence, or troubleshoot a problem.

Every profile is accumulated on your hard drive in a profile folder. The evasion location of the Firefox profile is %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\. %APPDATA% is shorthand for the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ folder (Windows 7/Vista) or the C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\ folder (Windows XP/2000), which depends on your Windows user account name.

The xxxxxxxx correspond to a haphazard string of 8 characters. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information in sequence. The Troubleshooting Information ( in sequence ) tab will open. Under Application Basics, click on Open Containing Folder. You have to keep a note that, if you are unable to open Firefox, use the commands in the next section to find your profile. In this way you can search for profile in firefox.

To Watch a video is'e one of these instructions. Click the Windows Start button and type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in the Search box at the bottom of the Start menu, without pressing Enter. A list of profiles will appear at the top of the Start menu. Click on any of the profiles (e.g. xxxxxxx.default) to open it with Windows Explorer.
