USB 3.0 is shipping from 2010. It is more powerful that like USB 2.0, it will transmit electricity and it means you can also charge your gadget that supported usb. Its new connectors and cables for higher speed data transfer. the most obvious change in USB 3.0 is an additional physical bus that is added in parallel with the existing USB 2.0 bus.

Re: What new in USB 3.0

USB 3.0 energy is efficient and it supports reduced power operation and an idle power mode. it is uses by all vendors like AMD, Nvidia and intel. It also have feature like devices can communicate new information such as their latency tolerance to the host, which allows better power performance. Maximum cable length is not big factor for USB 3.0 specification because electrical properties of the cable and signal quality limitations may not limit in USB 3.0.

    What new in USB 3.0

USB 3.0 also end the longing for FireWire’s resurrection. Most of the devices that generate big data like flash drives, hard drives, video cameras will be the first to appear with the standard because they can benefit from faster data transfer rates. Instead of accessing everything online or through downloads and streaming, We can store data content on hard drives, and have relatively fast access to it with USB cables. These might be new generation of data transfer and data storage.
