    Utility to check system hardware

Hello there, I bought a new Compaq laptop which is loaded with Windows 7 operating system. It has a RAM of 4GB with an AMD processor. It has hardly been a couple of weeks that I bought it and it is already giving me problems. Many a times while I work on it, I get a blue screen frequently. Restarting the laptop avoids that problem, but I get irritated since it happens every now and then. Recently, the laptop had shut down by itself and restarted after which it gave me an option to enable Windows startup recovery. It also gave me an error saying that "Computer failed to boot". I need a utility to check my system hardware to get rid of these problems.

I guess that you should stop looking for a utility to check system hardware because it is a newly bought system and it is already giving problems. So, there is no need to troubleshoot it by yourself. Take it back from where you had bought it and tell them to troubleshoot or even better, convince them to exchange it for a new system. If you keep troubleshooting a system, you will create new problems in it as you are not familiar with the system.

There are lot of utilities to check system hardware, but I use Registry Mechanic and Tuneup Utilities to optimize my system.

REGISTRY MECHANIC: It is an application that removes errors from the registry with internal as well as deep scanning the registry. It also repairs or mends the errors that it detects.

TUNEUP UTILITIES: This application is used widely by many users to remove errors from the system components as well as free the memory spaces that are unnecessarily utilized by the system. It also provides for defragmentation of the disks.

I suggest you to use Intel Hyper-Threading Test Utility 1.9 as a utility to check system hardware. This a free utility that I myself use to keep my system in track. It is a freeware that is developed by INTEL and it is used as a utility on all Windows operating systems. It has the category in C: \ System \ System Info. Maybe your system should be error free after you run a test of this utility and hopefully it might solve your problem.
