Can I set background for pen drive?

Hello everyone, I have a 4Gb Transcend pen drive. I want my pen drive to look different when I open. I tried to right-click the pen-drive icon and looked for options to set any background, but there isnt any. I looked in the properties too. It also does not has any such options. If anyone knows any way to set the background of a pen drive, please reply. Also, let me know if there is any way to give a different look to the icons.

You can indeed change the icons of the pen drive. I have no idea about changing the background. There are three means to achieve this:

• You get this software called TUNEUP UTLITIES by which you can not only give a totally different look to your computer but also speed up your system.
• Another method is by changing the registry settings in regedit.
• The simplest way to do this is going to options and then properties. There you get an option for customize folder. Now, browse any image you want to use as the pendrive icons.

1. In order to set a background for your pen drive,
2. You have to write the following code in notepad:

   • IconArea_Image="picture.jpg"

3. Write the image name of the image you want to set as background in the third step replacing "picture.jpg"
4. Next save this file with the name "desktop.ini" and copy it to the pen drive.
5. Finally, hide this file that you have put in the pen drive.
6. Now, open your pen drive and observe the change.

I dont think you can set the background of a pendrive because:
Firstly, it is a storage device.
Secondly, no such option is available in any of the properties for the pen drive.
You can only change the icons of the folders in the pendrive by first selecting a folder, going to properties, then customize folder and then browsing the icon or image that you want to set for the particular folder.
