    How to delete drop-down list of Google past searches

    Hi,

    How do I delete the list of visited sites in the delete drop-down list of Google past searches? I use firefox and IE for surfing the web.

    The search history that appears in the search box on Google is stored by your browser, not Google. To disable this search history, follow the specific instructions below. If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) 1. Go to the Tools menu. 2. Select Internet Options> Content. 3. In the Personal information section, select AutoComplete. 4. Click Clear Forms. You can also uncheck the Forms box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future. 5. Click OK to exit.

    Try the following steps to remove drop-down list of Google past searches :

    1. Open your registery and find
    2. "HKEY_CURRENTUSERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerTyped URLs"
    3. Highlight the key
    4. Search for the URL that you would like to remove.
    5. Right click on the URL and select delete.
    6. Restart IE

    In Firefox, it is much easier to delete individual URLs. Simply drop down the list and highlight the address bar the wrong direction. Then press CTRL-DELETE on your keyboard to remove individual unwanted direction.
