Unable to install quicktime in Firefox

Hi,

I have firefox 3 with windows xp but i am Unable to install quicktime in Firefox, when I click on add on it gives me an option to install Quick time plug in but installer doesnt work and i get an red Exclamation mark on quicktime plugin. anyone knows how to install it.

Quicktime 7.1.3 has been disabled in agreement between Mozilla and Apple, because it crashes Firefox and it is full of security holes. You must install the latest version. The "good" plugin is the QuickTime 7.6.2

QuickTime truncates the distribution in Firefox then it does not in IE or Chrome. It shows only a few seconds of MP3 instead of 30 s and the plant almost from the start video. People who do not have any problem QuickTime. The file is read by Firefox itself or another default player (Windows Media, VLC, etc) But still, many of QuickTime is installed on their desktop. It's blowing this history plugin mismanaged by Firefox.
