Can i make my Twitter account private

Hi, I have a Twitter account since long time and there are lots of followers. Now i have some tweets that i don't want to make available for every one and hence i want to make it private. I don't have any idea of doing this and also not sure that it can be done. Can i make my Twitter account private ? If yes than Please help.

Yeah, sure you can make your account private and that help you to make your tweets not available for every one. Yo can also make choice whom those tweet must appear. Anyway, here is how to make your Twitter account private, just go through this:-

First of all you need to login with your ID and Password in Twitter account.

Now click on Settings option form the Menu at the top right of the page.

Here you will see a option of Protect my updates under Account tab.

Just mark the check box for that option and save the changes.

Thats it.. Your account is now private.

Hey, thanks mate for the help. I just tried doing so and it worked for me.

I just checked it from one of my another account and the updates are not shown.

I appreciate your help.
