One of my friend is using Windows 7 license version & has an internet connection.... He uses Mozilla FireFox 3.0 version in it....! It is working fine but it has given it a default search engine with ask.com.... he don't want to use it... Can anyone tel me how to change it???? Please Help....!

This the simple & best solution for any of the user... To change & remove the the Ask.com follow the following steps....????
- In the Mozilla Firefox go to Menu Bar.
- Now in Menu Bar go to Tools.
- In Tools option go to Options.
- Now in Options Window do to the Main Tab.
- In Main TAB go to the Home Page.
- Now in Home Page Text Box Write "http://www.google.co.in/".
- & then Press OK

To change the Default Search Engine You need to follow the following steps :
- Write "about:config" in the address bar of Mozilla Firefox.
- It will ask you to confirm about something & you need to press yes.
- After pressing Yes search for “keyword.URL”
- Now right click on it Modify the its value from the following :
Google: http://www.google.com/search?btnG=Google+Search&q=
Yahoo!: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=
Micosoft: http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=
Ask.com: http://www.ask.com/web?q=
Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/s/
- Also check you have “keyword.enabled” set as true.
I have tried all of the above to no avail to remove the malware called Ask.com
I finally had to resort to reinstalling O/S to remove this junk piece of crap from my computer.
