Firefox memory usage keeps increasing

Hi guys,

I have updated to the latest firefox 3.5, but this issue i'm having from the beginning i have started using firefox. My firefox memory usgae keeps increasing, as i looks in task manager, only 1 firefox window eats upto 200 MB sometimes. Isn't it abnormal? browser using memory like games. any idea? how can i make firefox to use less memory?

You must be having various add-ons installed on your firefox. Disable or uninstall the add-ons and then see if there is any difference in memory usage. I agree that firefox uses really more space than the other broswers , sometimes my firefox also uses more than 200MB but when i do i have multiple window and tabs (over 30) opened in firefox. But since i have uninstalled all the add-ons , its using some what less space. Right now i have only 5 tabs and 1 window open and its using 77Mb.

Thanks for reply. I have already uninstalled all the add-on but still i can't see much difference. It takes 200 MB when i do have multiple tabs open near about 10. But the wired thing is its memory usage keeps on increasing even if i'm not doing any activity. any more suggestions?
