Add photo gallery widget to website

My colleague is a blogger and is in search of a way to add a photo widget to his blog to display the latest pictures from your photoblog, such that each photo click throughs to the image post or to display content with image file. Is that possible ? If yes please let me know how to add photo gallery widget to website ? Please help.
