    Unified Search Add-on for FireFox

    While browsing we need to use many search engines like Google, Bing, yahoo, etc.. if you truly want to research a search term, as opposed to simply finding a solution to it. Instead of searching on multiple search engines, the users can add Google Unified Search plugin to their Firefox web browser to display search results from multiple search engines.You might have read about add-ons that combine Google search results with those of other search engines such as Bing or Wolfram Alpha. Google Unified Search takes that concept a step further by integrating multiple search engines in Google results. Google Unified Search plugin compares Bing, Wolfram, Wikipedia, Delicious, Stumbleupon with Google side-by-side, get the best of these very different search engines, content providers, and social bookmarks.


    To use Unified Search properly, Search base servicein Google,See Bing search engines appear on the same page.Notice buttons in the right top corner,Click on any button to get the search results from the selected service load instead of Bing. Finally click an arrow sign to get the search results from the selected service load in the new tab.It adds support for Bing, Wikipedia, Wolfram Alpha, Stumbleupon and Delicious in the Google search results.

    Unified search is really a cool new FireFox addon that lets you easily combine and compare side-by-side search results from a number of search engines.It supports many search engines like Bing, Wolfram, Wikipedia, Delicious, Stumbleupon,etc..By default, it will display the Google and Bing search results on the same page. There will be a control in the top right corner which makes it possible to switch to another search engine.

    The search results of a search engine besides Google search is shown at a time but it is possible to anticipate the results of another switch without having to reload the page. A click on any button to get the research results from the selected service, and click on the arrow symbol to the research of the selected service.You can easily disable or enable the Unified Search addon by clicking its icon in the status bar.

    Thanks for sharing this useful Add-on. I am using it from last 2 days and really found it very effective. is an excellent way of displaying additional information about a search term in the Google search results.. Only the the confusing stuff i found with this add on is while clicking on a result in the alternative search engine on the other hand will open the result just in the area of that search engine.
