Hello,
I have a dell machine and whenever I go onto a website and click back on the browser I get this google error message: page not found hws/dell-usuk/afe . I have never come up with this problem ever but recently it started and it is annoying me. What can I do to stop google error message hws/dell-usuk/afe? Thank you

I think I know what is the answer to your problem. Your computer may have it's default search set to that URL you are getting. Maybe when the error occurs, the protocol (res://) is not recognised by either the browser or the URL search, and when you type that it tries to redirect to the appropriate Google search page to search for the string. Since that page does not exist on the Google server, you get an error. 127.0.0.1 is just your local computer's IP address.

I would guess you are seeing this page: http://www.google.com/hws/dell-usuk/.../dnserror.html

It will not happen if you start IE7 in "No add-on mode".
Try it: Right click the IE7 icon and choose "Start without add-ons."

Clickt Tools, then open the Add-on Manager in IE7 and Disable the entry that appears roughly like this:
