yeah, I have played POTC online in my Vista computer. The game played pretty OK, but I faced the some sort of delay. Also, I was unable to play it in a full screen mode at the higher resolutions without losing major fps.

I've tried playing the beta version of this game online. There were many buds I tell you but remember almost every game has the initial bugs in its beta version. i am waiting for it to become better.

Ohh !!!! so there are lots of people facing trouble playing pirates online on their Vista platform. First, I would suggest you to try and update your graphic/video card, driver.

If that doesn't help, then follow these steps -

    • Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | Windows Explorer.
    • Navigate to C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online\PiratesOnline.
    • Double click on game_options.txt.
    • Make sure "state" has "working" on the line directly below it. If you see "attempted_working" , change it to "working."
    • Under "api", please change the text from "default" to "pandadx9".
    • Save the file then launch the game.

If you don't have this file on your computer, you will need to create one in the PiratesOnline directory.

    • Go to Start | Run.
    • Type "Notepad" in the Open input box then click OK.
    • Add the following text precisely as you see it below:
      • state
      • working
      • api
    • pandadx9 (once again, you may need pandadx10)
    • Click File | Save As
    • Name the file "game_options.txt"
    • Save the file to C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online\PiratesOnline then launch the game.
