    Google Earth not working

I have installed the latest version of Google Earth 5.0 on my system.the problem is when i try to zoom it shows a very small picture of some of the earth along with a bright red color which not common but when i try to see the road map I have been unable to see Range Road and Township Road numbers. I am using Windows vista sp 2 and it was running perfectly well just a little while ago.

I've got the exact same problems. For just about the same period of time, it was a service issue but not sure the problem is same in your case. Try uninstalling through add/remove in control panel, then re-install, i hope it will work.

No need to run it as root, just remove the following directories:

    ~/.config/Google
    ~/.googleearth

    Into terminal type:

    Code:
    sudo rm -rf ~/.config/Google
    sudo rm -rf ~/.googleearth

and run it as normal user.

Try removing, then reinstalling Google Earth. Take the time to write down all the code in About Google Earth before you do, so you can reinstall it properly when done.or Maybe one of your placemarks has been corrupted. What happens when you move the "myplaces.kml" file to your desktop before initializing GE?
