The "Related" button is an available Standard toobar button that can be an extremely helpful tool for users who need to access related information quickly. Clicking the Related Icon opens the Explorer Bar and offers a list of other internet sites that contain information that is similar to what the user is currently viewing.
This Related toolbar button/icon is the one that is a part of the Windows XP OS and not the one that may be associated with Netscape version.
You might have run some security scan in your computer hard-drive recently. Sometimes, such security scans makes this related toolbar disappear.
Ad-Aware scan deletes the "Show Related Links" extension. To prevent this, select the "{C95FE080-8F5D-11D2-A20B-00AA003C157A}" entry from the scan results and add it to ignore list in Ad-aware. If the extension has already been deleted, you can restore it using the following methods -
- For pre XP SP2 systems, type REGSVR32 /i SHDOCVW.DLL in the RUN box. Related.HTM is not created though.
- Download related_ALL.reg and save to Desktop. Right-click the file and choose Merge.
Additionally, download the file Related.htm and place it in the C:\Windows\Web folder.
