Access Hotmail or Live Account With Apple Mail

Hi.. One of my friend is having Apple mail and do not know how to Access Hotmail or Live Account With Apple Mail.

Could any one of you help us in this case ?

Its very short procedure. Just go through this:-


1. Open Apple Mail. Go to File in the menubar and click "Preferences."

2. Under the Accounts tab, click the + button in the lower left hand corner. Fill in the fields and click Continue.

3. Set the Account Type to POP. Type in a description. Set the Incoming Mail Server to pop3.live.com and enter your User Name and Password. Make sure you put the full email address (including the @hotmail.com) in the User Name field. Click Continue.

4. Set the Outgoing Mail Server to smtp.live.com and make sure the "Use only this server" box is checked. Check the "Use Authentication" box and enter your full email address and password. Click Continue.

5. The Account Summary window should pop up. Make sure your details match up against the ones pictured here. Once everything looks good, click Create.

Thats it.. Your new account is ready to use!

you can try this :-

1.First of all Launch Apple mail

2.Then type you name where it asks you to

3.Then where it asks you to Put your email address Enter and then put in your password

4.Then click Continue and on the next page enter this info

• Account Type : POP
• Description : Windows Live
• Incoming Mail Server : pop3.live.com
• Username : Example@live.com Example@hotmail.com
• Password : Put your password Here

5.Click the Continue Button

6.Then on the next page enter this info

• Description : Windows Live
• Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.live.com
• Click the "Use Authentication" Box
• Username : Example@live.com Example@hotmail.com
• Password : Put your password Here

7.Click Continue

You are now done...
