Remove nickname in windows live messenger

Hello friends,
I am using windows live messenger 8. Is is possible to remove nickname from windows live messenger? If yes, can anybody explain me how?

To remove nickname for contacts, right-click on the name and click on Edit Nickname. Then just press backspace and enter. It will change back to the original. Or just note down the email address of the contact and delete it from the list. Again add that contact.

MSN Invisible Nickname is a simple character of Empty Nickname of MSN Messenger that you can apply with it. All you have to do just download the character nickname of MSN that we give you below and then go to the Nickname Editor and copy from Notepad and paste in it.

What if you want to KEEP your contacts' nicknames intact BUT just display the First and Last names of your contacts in Messenger?

Seems the selection in Options...Layout is only "Label contacts by: [Display name] or [First and last name]" and if you choose the latter, is automatically shows the Nickname if it exists? There should be a third selection for that instead...
