MSN messenger sign out automatically at 12 a.m.

Hi friends,
I am facing very uncommon problem with msn messenger. I sign into my messenger between 9.00 and 10.00 p.m. But msn automatically sign me out at 12.00 a.m. Can anybody tell me whats going on with msn messenger?

Some ISPs automatically change your IP number at midnight and disconnect you briefly.I think its something to do with internet security. Contact your ISP for more information on that.

It is worth checking in your routers settings for your DHCP settings. It sounds like your DHCP lease expires at that time every night and it's causing MSN to boot you.
It changes its IP address or something at that timethe time. It happens can and does vary between different places, but if theres faults/maintenance on a piece of equipment in the exchange that will be service affecting, it is done after 11pm, but the actual time its done depends on the engineer that picks the job up.

Check out following points. It might be helpful to solve the problem:

• If you're using a third-party firewall, set Messenger to "Permit All" or "Allow" type options in the firewall configuration.
• Make sure you have the latest firmware from your router manufacturer. As well, you might try setting your computers local IP into the routers DMZ setting.
• This can also happen due to a lack of bandwidth. If you are using some file sharing-type application or something else that takes considerable amounts of bandwidth, you should shut it down.
