sad New tab close automatically in IE7

    Hello Friends,

I have recently installed Windows Xp on my system. I have even installed Internet Explorer 7 and using it as my web browser. Whenever i try to click on a new tab, Internet Explorer 7 get closed automatically. I don't know why this problem occurs on my system. Does any one have any idea about this problem? Kindly help me out to resolve this problem. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Follow the below steps mention.

    1) Start IE 7 with no add-ons. Create a shortcut on your desktop with the following target path (don't forget the quote marks)
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff If the problem no longer occurs, one (or more) add-ons was causing the problem.

    2) Reset IE 7 to its original configuration. Tools--> Internet Options--> Advanced tab--> under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset. If the problem no longer occurs, one (or more) incorrect configuration settings was causing the problem. [Note: If you want to continue to use any of your add-ons after a reset, you may have to reinstall them.]

    3) Problems with IE 7 can also be caused by the presence of viruses or other malicious software.

Many time IE7 seems to set its own programs, check mark the boxes in the advance tab. In IE7 Tools-->Internet Options-->Advance Tab. Then Click Restore advance settings defaults button. Then scroll the listings down to near the bottom and do the following.

    1. Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache, which if not empty, will stop you from going online).

    2. Bullet disable phishing filter (optional. Leave it on if you want that type of protection, usually for financial data like internet banking
