Wordpress versus Lifetype

I hesitate to choose between these two software blog: wordpress and lifetype. Could you give me your opinion, as users and developers please?

Wordpress has a wider reach, a forum, and then many issues, over 350 I think, listed on the official website, and many plugins that a number well attended.

I do not like LifeType. As against, I think Wordpress is really a gas factory, with lots of plugins to customize the tool, add modules, etc. You can just do everything, or blog, or CMS, or just the two mixed. In short, buldozer. It is also that the "default" is not always easy to do exactly what you want (if you want variations). And if you start to modify the code, let's go for a beautiful part of fun!
