Need a bit information on Javascript Object

I am learning JAVA. I need some help to understand object in JavaScript. What does it mean and how it to use it. I had downloaded a ebook through which I am going to learn about this thing. But as I am not from a programming background certain terms of very complicated to understand. I want a effective way of using them. I am not able to get any tutorial on it. The one which I found were quiet basic.
