How to Integrate Java and C

Hi friends recently I was trying to create a java program, in such a way that it calls a C function. So is it possible to call a C function from Java. If yes then how can I do this? Is there any possibility to combine these two languages? If you guys have any ideas about this then please let me know.

According to my information this is possible to call external functions from Java with the help of Java Native Interface (JNI), or with the help of Java Native Access (JNA). So for that you have to know more about this JNI and JNA to make this thing happen in java.
