    Does intel C++ 11.1.038 support openmp3.0

    As I program in FORTRAN and C , and I do scientific calculations , So as it has several nice new processor core I'd like them to work in parallel . My question is that I read that for MPI is for "machines distributed memory multiprocessors . " and OpenMP , for " machines shared memory multiprocessors . " Does intel C++ 11.1.038 support openmp3.0. Any idea ?

    Fully compliant with Microsoft Visual C source code level , and object code also provides improved compatibility with the Microsoft Development Environment Visual C NET. This allows you to optimize existing applications by simply recompiling the source code, and assemble an application from the modules compiled by different compilers . In addition, the Intel compiler can be linked to the rapid application development environment of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 as a subsidiary of the compiler and the Visual Studio. NET as an add-on external.

    Standard industry to develop multithreaded applications mobile - and auto- parallelization allow transactions without further efforts to achieve the advantages of multiprocessor systems and processors Hyper - Threading . Support for external tools and new processing technologies has led to the emergence of integrated tools to work with the new technology of memory addressing Intel EMT64 ( Extended Memory 64 Technology ) and the possibility of integration with a debugger, Intel Debugger.

    With the Intel Compiler C Compiler can maximize productivity . Built- in optimization technologies and help to support multi -threading to create code that is best done on modern multicore processors . Compiler Intel C Compiler for Windows is built on a winner. With it , you can create a new generation of software for advanced equipment . software compiling with Intel C compiler compiler for Windows has a number of additional optimization possibilities , some of which are briefly described below, and provides links to more detailed descriptions.

    OpenMP 3.0 specification support - the industry standard for developing portable multi-threaded applications - and automatic parallelization of operations or efforts to help realize the advantages of multiprocessor systems and processors Hyper - Threading . Support for external tools and new treatment technologies has led to the emergence of integrated tools to work with the new technology of memory addressing Intel's EMT64 (Extended Memory 64 Technology) and the integration possibilities with a debugger , Intel Debugger.

    Intel C + + Compiler ( also known by the acronyms icc and icl) Means a range of compilers C + + developed IntelAvailable for platforms Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. It supports Intel processors for its compilation IA -32, 64 and Intel Itanium 2 processors and other non-Intel compatible but are , as some AMD processors , developers should check the system requirements before you start compiling.

    The ICC used for IA -32 and Intel 64 contains an automatic vectorization tool that can generate SIMD instructions like SSE , SSE2 , SSE3 and SSE4 . They are embedded variants of MMX and MMX 2. The emergence of the ICC compiler for IA - 32 has increased considerably the use of SSE2 in developing Windows applications.

    A compiler can simply generate a binary minimalist , even optimized. It should help you adopt a clearer syntax , to shed new light on your code and especially help parallelism your software easily. A developer is never too demanding with its compiler. Once Parallel Studio installed to use the Intel compiler simply right click on your solution and ask for his conversion ( the procedure is reversible) . It is important to note that the compiler and libraries are available on other platforms , and that performance is good on other processors than Intel's portability above all! Of all the features of Parallel Composer , are talking about different ways to parallelism your code , C + + extensions from Intel and lambda functions .

    The concept of the OpenMP lies in the use of pragmas, annotations certainly intelligent and transparent in your code but not very friendly a style of writing " natural " in C + + . That 's why Intel provides the use of new C + + extensions , you can write " __par " instead of "# pragma omp parallel for ". If you like the concept , do not hesitate to say on the forums software.intel.com and we extend this type of keywords in the future.
