Need help with .NET endless updates

I actually spent more time downloading/updating .NET than setting WinXP Pro SP2 x64 on my machine. I have been downloading standalone files from M$ website in bits & pieces. Does anyone know if I can download one complete massive file that contains all .NET & latest updates including .NET 1.0 to 3.5 SP1?

The single largest file is .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (Full Package) _dotnetfx35.exe which is about 237mb.

You are wrong mate, Microsoft has now upgraded to .NET Framework 4 version and you can download the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Web Installer from here. Usually, you cant get the standalone of .NET Framework software, it is installed directly via internet to your pc from microsoft.

Thanks for the tip but don't think I need 4 because earlier versions 3/2/1.1/1 are plenty for me. I don't run any apps that need beyond 2 at the moment.

.Net updates,now a Microsoft introduce a framework 4 is a really a nice things and update version that you use it and install from a Internet to direct computer,good software you use it.
