Editing Wordpress Themes with help of Dreamweaver

I am relatively a new user of Dreamweaver and Wordpress. I am using these since last week to develop a website with my collegue. This is the first time I am developing a website. I was told that we can edit Wordpress themes with the help of Dreamweaver. Please help me understand how we can edit or customize Wordpress Themes using Dreamweaver? Also give me a proper defination for these Themes.

Since it is a open souce software it is available free to all. To edit Themes of Wordpress using Dreamweaver you just need to know the basic PHP and HTML.
DW -> Open your file -> View > Code Views

DW -- Open file which is yours -- View (from menu bar) -- Code views
A Theme is simply a set of PHP files. These files are dynamically assembled with the resulting HTML styled with the help of CSS.

I have also designed a my first web site using Dreamweaver and Wordpress. It was not at all easy for me as it was my first attemp to do such a thing. I was not aware of both Dreamweaver and WordPress but then I still managed to make a Web site on Tourist Spots in India. I also was confused with this editing of themes using Dreamweaver.
Steps to custimize themes:
DW >> Open your file >> View from the menu bar >> Code Views.
