How to create custom accelerator in XML

I have heard that Accelerator is one of the many attractive features that helps to get things done faster. If this is true then pleae let me know how do we get it enabled. And also let me know whether we can create the custom accelerator in XML, this would be mine prime objective.

You don't need to worry about the creating the accelerator in XML, because your built-in Browser Search Box which is now present in all popular browsers similarly fetches search results with fewer steps. installing from a locally present XML file is out of question. It however has a limitation. It can work only with Search Providers you configure. You cannot however be used directly to map an address, translate a word. That's where IE8 Accelerators come in. And also keep in mind one thing that Accelerators can be installed only from an add-on gallery or from the website which the accelerator itself references in it's homepage URL itself. Basically Acceleator are formed in the HTML format, In it's most basic form, an accelerator has following three points:

A Textual entry in the context menu of IE 8 which summarises the accelerator

• functionality in a concise manner.
• An optional icon alongside it that can help visually identify the accelerator at quick glance.
• An action that it takes on selecting the menu option .

Building an IE 8 Accelerator is a simple 2 step process -
Step 1: Fill values into a XML template file.
Step 2: Host the Accelerator XML file though an install button.

Accelerators are a new feature in Internet Explorer 8 that help you do routine tasks like searching, email, blogging, etc. Accelerators appear on the right-click shortcut menu of the Web page in Internet Explorer. They are grouped by function so that users can quickly access the task that they want. CGForumsSearch.xml and most important, make sure you set the encoding type as UTF-8. The XML is self explanatory for the most part, especially the display section, which simply has information on what IE should show for the context menu text as well as the icon.
