Changing the location of the mail store to a mapped or removable drive is not supported by Microsoft.
The registry location for Outlook Express 5 is
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{idnum}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express
    1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. Click the Maintenance tab, and then click Store Folder.
    3. Click Change, specify the folder that you want to use to store your messages, and then click OK.

Yeah you can change the path to any desired location by doing the following
go to the Tools menu click on Options and locate the Maintenance tab.
select Store Folder button and click the Change button and you can now change the path as according to your wish

When installing the application you can select the path there it's self as your wish.opt for Custom Installation Wizard and Custom Maintenance Wizard tools from the Office 2003 Resource Kit to set the value of ForcePSTPath. which also includes the administrative template for the GPE to instruct the value for ForcePSTPath as a policy setting in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Policies\Microsoft\ Office\11.0\Outlook.
