How do I Import Flash button into Director

I'm trying to figure out how to import flash buttons into Director. When I go to:

Insert -> Director -> Flash Button

I don't see the button previews there at all. Just the default one.The only way I can get it in is to import the whole Flash movie. Is there a way that I can view ones I want to import?

You need to import the .swf file. If you wanted to create the Flash button create a new flash movie, and specify the function as per your button requirement, you need to specify the size and width requirement for your button. Align button as per your requirement. Hit "test movie" and then use that .swf in your Director movie.

Open the page in DW and just grab the code and paste it into the page where you want it to be. or else you need to have Library open. If not, hit F11 to open it up. Drag and drop your button onto the stage. You can use the Align tool to center the button, and from the Window Property right click resize the window.

    Import Flash SWF file

    1. You need to open the Photoshop PSD in Fireworks 3
    2. In Fireworks, choose Export Special from the File menu, and then select Flash SWF.
    3. select Setup button. This will bring up a window that allows you to set the output parameters for the SWF file.
    4. Press OK and save your SWF file
    5. Open Flash 4.0
    6. Import the SWF file that you created in Fireworks, to do this select Import from the File Menu.
