How to secure a website with https ?

Hello,
I am an IT graduate without new experiance and I want to develop secure web site. I have heard the "https" is good and I invest in developing with PHP-MySQL (PHP easy) under "dreamwever MX in Windows XP" as that's what I know better. Is this a good solution going for "https"? But How? What are the stages for it? Please help me on this issue. I thank you in advance.

Here is a Script that you want to see when even two is either a 1. Htaccess, the 2nd one. Htpasswd:

1) AuthUserFile "d: / Program Files / EasyPHP / www / ASP / .htpasswd"

allow from 127.0.0.1

2) I: 941

These 2 files can be in the folder you want to protect, restrict access to a position in which the IP address is 127.0.0.1 and a User password: 941

HTTPS does not secures a site.
It just allows secure communication between server and browser.

The security of the site depends on other things (updating the web server checking the user rights on each page, managing sessions and passwords, etc.).

I agree with above but https is very important for secure communication between your site (the server) and browser (the client). To do this, you must have a dedicated IP address, and purchase a SSL certificate. Your host will probably make you PROPOSAL.
