Charting a curve in real time

    Hi,

My problem is this, I draw random numbers with a timer that I rule as I want to have a curve with these points in the style of the task manager of windows but I do not know at all how. I went to see with my buddy google but I am not getting the right keywords.

Well you can do something with Excel man?
If you arrive to retrieve data, you still have to make a graph.

Edit: Ah, in real time... well, I do not know how we can do.

    Ha, this interests me too.
With excel, setting the checker every minute if the size of the file has changed or the length of the column, and if he / she has changed again....draw.

You want to do this in vb6, vb. vba or net? Is not really the same thing
You need basic math, the polynomial, to a poly of 3rd degree eg (ax bx ² ³ + + cx + d); and you can use the Picturebox to draw your widgets.

Hmm... It looks less simple than I thought. It's vb.net

I did not understand why polynomials, does it not ask the (VA's) one after the other?

Lay the points... mmmh the accounts you ask how mainly relate? The equation of a line to remind qqc ca te? and a curve?
It will have to calculate the coordinates at every intermediate point along the y-axis for a coordinated x.
Hence you need to know what you want as having "style" curve, between points. Given that after what I understood, it is not enough to put the points, they must link together.
So already, whether they should be linked or not, how reunite link:
right, then there's an object to connect vb just 2 point
curve: there's certainly something with vb, but it might be very very very ugly Hence the necessity of having to repeat the same.

Obviously, I do not know exactly the data or what would be obtained as a result.

If you put the points after another it should not do? The goal is not to obtain a curve, but a chart tracking the evolution of something.
(edit: yes in fact will not even connect the dots)

Given the complexity of the sudden something I looked a little about. And there is no need to curve I was persuaded otherwise because the teacher has done but hey, it's probably an extra for those who are very strong and therefore hours ahead. Still thank you. Trying to finish what I have to do and I'll go see the teacher for the curve.

OK absolute55, I just follow you in your approach. Is to end a draft study that
Sound macro excel check that the length of the column and update the chart should be sufficient, after it is true that your method is good but it is a complete application must leave.
