SBS 2003 Stuck on Preparing network connections for over 24 hours

I am using HP Proliant ML 330 SBS 2003 server. It is a new configuration. The server is proper. There are all new updates and patches installed. I had connected the same to a network of 20 pc. And through network configuration wizard I am trying to connect it to the other pc. But somehow it fails to work. The entire server just freezes on preparing network connection. Any idea how can I fix the same.

Try to unplug the nic cable and then insert the same back again. It would help you to fix the same. There can be issue with lan adapter. It is necessary that you must configure the network settings once again and check the same. Sometime due to outdated drivers the problem arises. You can try to run windows update also and then see whether the issue is resolved or not.

Are you trying to modify the settings through admin account. It is important that you must have appropriate privileges and then only you can go ahead to fix the same. You can go with adapter driver update but if that does not work then there is some problem with then nic. You can try to find a error description in the event log and show here what is mentioned. That would help you more in fixing the problem.
