Exchange Error - (0x8004011D)

I’m using SBS 2003 R2 Standard. Due to some unknown reason whenever we try to connect our exchange server, we get the following error message:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' Reported Error (0x8004011D): 'The Server is not available. Contact your system administrator if this condition persists'

I tried searching this forum and found few threads with the same problem but the solutions dint helped. Few of them says something about ESM and checking the event logs but that I don’t know how to do that. Somebody please help.

You are looking for red blobs on the events. Most likely is Application log or System log. Since this is an exchange problem you might look for exch or esm in particular. If you need more help, post back the event id number and the source.

Thanks for the suggestion friend but I did Google before posting my problem here. Anyways, yesterday I rebooted the server and dint noticed any change in the behavior. I've got several errors yesterday about the time this all started.

• MsExchangeSA 9175
• MsExchangeFBPUBLISH 8197

Please help.

When you get it cleaned up you can expand the size of the database. Exchange SP2 allows increasing the size in any increment up to 75 GB.
