    Cannot start the MSSQL$SBSMONITORING & SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING Services

I am having a SBS 2003 Premium Server which is crashing all the time and I am not able to start the services as well. The errors that I am getting in the application event log is:

    MSSQL$SBSMONITORING
    Source: SmallBusinessServer
    Category: SBS Monitoring
    Event ID: 4104
Could not connect to the monitoring database. This can occur when there are multiple connections to the database. Wait a short period of time, and then try again. If this error persists, run the Monitoring Configuration Wizard, and select Reinstall monitoring features.

If I am trying to reboot the service then I am getting some error again: The MSSQL$SBSMONITORING service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do. For example the Performance Log and Alerts.

    SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING
    Source: SQLSERVERAGENT
    Category: Alert Engine
    Event ID: 322
The data portion of event 19002 from MSSQLSERVER is invalid.

Can you try to check in the \program files\microsoft sql server\mssql$sbsmonitoring\log directory and see if the error log file shows any kind of issues? Can you also check whether any other instances are running, like for example the mssql$sharepoint?

If you cannot succeed in re-installing the monitoring component, please follow the steps given below in the link to try to see if it can be installed successfully:
