    SBS 2008 STD - Adding 5-pack CALs

We recently bought our first ever SBS server, that is SBS 2008 standard with additional 5 pack user CALs. Now as this is first time we are working with this, I need some help on the same. I wanted to know what exactly the CAL’s are? I mean is it a kind of product key or do I need to install it somewhere?

Is it is product key where/on which PC do I need to put it in? While purchasing I was told to use it at Server Manager > >Licensing but I dint found any such path on SBS 2008. Also how can I identify the user cals or device cals? Please help.

You actually don’t need to put them anywhere in SBS 2008 because similar to SBS 2003 there is no console provided in 2008. You just file them away. Just keep them in safe place because it is the only way to know how many seats they are licensed for.
