    SBS 2008 versus Standard Edition

I was told that if I dont have an inhouse IT support team then I should go for SBS, but if I have someone who knows what they are doing then we can get Standard standalone and pile on the additional servers that we want, whether it is SQL, Exchange, etc. So, is this really true? What can we not do with SBS 2008 that we can do with the standalone version, forget about licencing. Thanks.

There are many things that you can do with SBS 2008 that you can with Windows 2008. I can use a remote access portall called Remote Web Workplace and I can easily setup mobile phones to sync with Exchange and use Outlook anywhere as the Exchange is easily set up with Secure SSL certs rather than banging my head on an Exchange setup.
