    SBS 2008 firewall blocks client

Guys we have SBS 2008 server and when the firewall is set to recommended settings then Vista Business client are not able to access shares on the server as well as on the network. I have gone though firewall settings and have uncheck all exception rules but no luck. The only thing that works is disabling the firewall but then i keep getting critical security warning. Is there anything else i can try out rather than disabling the firewall ? If yes then please let me know. Help on this matter will be very appreciative.

I want to know if you have impacted connectivity on that server, as far as i am aware you wont be able to turn off the firewall without having impacted connectivity on that server. I want to know if your Vista Business client indicates they are domain joined? If you are not sure than just check it out and let me know.

They do indicate domain joined under Network and Sharing Center in Vista contech.local.

In all, there are 3 GPO's that affect the firewall on client machines in an SBS 2008 domain. Namely Windows SBS Client - Windows Vista Policy, Windows SBS Client - Windows XP Policy and Windows SBS Client, you can find them under My Business > Computers > SBS Computers or under Group Policy Objects.
You will have to disable Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Network > Network Connections > Windows Firewall > Domain Profile > Protect All Network connections. However it will work for system connected to your domain. In case you want to affect system outside of your domain then you will have to disable Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Network > Network Connections > Windows Firewall > Standard Profile > Protect All Network connections.
