Event ID 402 - maximum number of connections error

I am facing problem with Windows Server. I had installed SBS 2003 SP1 on my network. There are set of around 10 other workstations connected to the server. From last couple of days I cannot understand where I did changes, there is constant error. I am getting error everytime when the users try to send mails. After verifying the SMTP virtual server I found many things in complete in it. It looks there is a connection limit set due to which the error appeared and cause the problem. Even after changing the settings the same kind of issue appear. I checked inside Event Log and still there is same problem.

It looks a number of things are clogging in your system which is causing this problem. It can be spam also. To find out the solution just turn off the replies and then check again. The default settings for internet replies is set to 500. You can try reducing that and check whether the problem still exist or not. I believe this is a kind of spam problem.
