    WSUS clients "Not Yet Reported"

I have a Windows 2003 server on which I am running WSUS. I do not have very big number of workstations to maintain but I am not able to get them to report their status to the WSUS server even when they are listed in the correct computer group. I have also established a different group policy for WSUS and all workstations are listed in the group assigned by the policy but only the exchange server that we have and the WSUS server have reported their status and received updates from WSUS. I was previously havign WSUS services running on another server (Domain Controller) and all worked well but then I decided to move WSUS from the DC to a standalone server which also handles backup tasks for the domain. The DC is also listed in WSUS as having "not yet reported". I have also uninstalled WSUS services from the DC but still I am getting the same error. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks.

Try the below things on one of the affected clients:
    1. First of all stop the Automatic Updates service.
    2. After that delete the %windir%\SoftwareDistribution folder.
    3. Now you can start the Automatic Updates service and then wait 10 minutes

Incase the client will not show up then on the WSUS server as reported within 20 minutes, try to post the last 30 minutes of the WindowsUpdate.log starting up with the service startup.

Re: WSUS clients "Not Yet Reported"

I have tried all the ways suggested by you but still computer status is 'not yet reported'

I have done the following activity
    1. Stop AU services
    2. Delete %windir%\SoftwareDistribution folder.
    3. Start the Automatic Updates service.
    Wait 10 minutes
    >From a CMD prompt issue 'wuauclt /reauthorization /detectnow'

If the client does not show up on the WSUS server as reported within 20
minutes please post the last 30 minutes of the WindowsUpdate.log
    commencing with the service startup.

but status is as it is.
Please find last 50 lines of windowsupdate.log file

Is attached group policy changes has an adverse affect on it. But some systems of Windows XP are still updating from this server.

Please suggest what to do in this case ....

Even I was having same problem but I have found a fix for this issue. The server that I was running was having an instance of SCCM and as such it also had a flag set that told the clients not to report their status back to the WSUS server. I then found a tool that will update this flag even if SCCM is removed from the system.
