I agree with Baijayanthi. I use Quick heal too. I have an old laptop using the outdated Windows XP and 2GB ram. Yet I must commend that Quick heal is working well, without consuming too much space....
i had used AVG and it was working fine for me. a friend of mine recommended quickheal. i used the version and liked it and shifted permanently to quickheal. try it using..im sure u will like it...:)
If your system is slow, I 'd suggest run a background check with quickheal! Worked for me with a similar problem! :)
Its perfectly fine to eject it(as in take it out) without properly ejecting, if all the concerned files are closed! This doesn't harm your computer :)
This can be because of extreme slow passage that your antivirus provides! Try downloading quickheal trial and check if its fine now!

First on remove the free AV your using. Being a computer institute they should be more careful. Purchase licensed AV for a multi-user system and install it. Do a through scan and recheck
Malwarebytes and quick heal or any other good AV make a good combination
