I too have concealed wiring and was hopin the BSNL folks dont ask me to rip it out of the walls if needed ! According to the way Varunjosh has put it , I would need a wire running from the splitter...
It means that Hathway themselves do not provide the connection directly. Your local cable operators are the ones that provide it on behalf of Hathway, hence they are allowed to get a "kick-back"...
