I've already done what Thomas321 suggested as I stated in my original post. With the button for display in browser checked or not, either way it doesn't work.

Which menu are you referring to? I can't find anything like that in either IE6 or Reader 9.
I am trying to look at a pdf document and it will not display at all in IE6. I tried changing the internet option in Reader 9 to display PDF in browser and it still will not display. I get no error...
