I missed one step.
First check you DNS sever for A record for the cluster name. May be it is deleted there.
If so, create a new A record with the same IP and then go to the above steps

I had the same issue with my exchange server cluster.
and we got it fixed...
This is what I did.
Shut down both nodes
Switched on the preferred owner.
it started working..
Once all services...
