As compared to last three ultrabooks launched by Toshiba, the Toshiba Portege Z830 is clearly one that is more oriented towards the professional world.
Speed
The Intel Core i5 2467M processor with two cores and a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz together with the 120-gigabyte SSD for ensures a high work rate. This is giving sluggish processing of music, pictures and videos and this is one of the most negative point in this untrabook. With the inbuilt ultrabook, you will be able to play the games like “FIFA 12 "and" The Sims 3 “without any problem.
Display
The 13.3-inch ultra-Book (33.8 centimeters) has 1366x768 pixels. Because of the matte screen, the Toshiba is a bit low in contrast, but thoroughly readable in bright environments.
Internet
Would you like to go surfing on the Internet, you must thanks to UMTS modem which is only an appropriate service plan. There is a wireless radio, not only on 2.4, but also to five gigahertz. This is convenient especially in urban areas, because the 2.4 GHz band there is often overloaded and slow except for the UMTS module.
Equipment
Ultra-Books do not have room for a DVD burner. Alternatively you can use external drive over the network drive of your PC. This is possiblw with one of the three USB ports (USB 3.0 technology dominates). HDMI and VGA will be helpful to connect to a larger screen. The built-in network connection is not obvious at Ultra books. This comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, a memory card slot, Bluetooth, and jacks for microphone and headphones. There is the front camera to make video calls.
Endurance
When working, the battery lasted to provide about three and a half hours and when watching movies it gives four hours and 51 minutes. The battery is full again after only two and a half hours of charging time. The plug of the charger cable is loose in the socket on the Ultra Book and slipped out quite easily.
Processing
When this is kept idle then the display goes off automatically and as you start typing then it comes back automatically. Thanks keyboard lighting that helps to find the right key in dark. Toshiba's ultra-Book is in a beautifully stylish magnesium body, which makes a robust impression but it does not radiate the sophistication of an Apple MacBook Air. This weights 238 grams less than Apple's rival. You should not expect some extra ordinary performance with this but you will get good performance.
