    Dead Space 2

Dead Space we loved when it came to video games, and showed how the terror could bet on the action (a dynamic, well-evolved, which was based on Resident Evil 4 and that was even where not reach their fifth) and a good atmosphere different from those who were the most popular references. And that space, the ships abandoned in the darkness of the universe, has resulted in films and novels of the most intense.

The first film gave us the ultimate fate of Isaac Clarke, the protagonist, in the air, and here we find this character in a most unusual situation. Others who did not play with the first delivery should not be afraid, because it includes a good video that puts us in situation, and explains that Clarke has spent the last years in a hospital and has lost his mind. The facts of the Ishimura, the ship on which environment the first game, finished with his sanity.

This story is interesting and playable level, it can start from scratch, with a weak character, even subject to straitjacket, who suddenly immersed in full killing by necromorphic that, inexplicably, have come to this space colony I was hospitalized Clarke. Dead Space 2 puts you well in the role of a mentally ill person cannot trust what he sees. Is killing necromorphic? Or just think are those horrible creatures? And if it is something that is only in your mind, maybe you should not ask the question.

This is achieved so as to create a sense of doubt in the player. We want to survive, but at the same time we do not know if it's just a product of his sick mind, and what the consequences may be having, in fact, everything we do. And, finally, after all, Isaac did not come out safely from Ishimura, and your mind creates ghosts now, her personality has been destroyed, and reality, flashbacks and nightmares merge.

In this way, therefore, the action and tension go hand in hand, and even the first stages of the game manage to be more tense and anxious, because we, as players, we have yet to form an opinion on the character's mind and while we are helpless during these early stages. Chances are that even end up dead a few seconds to start; you have not opted for the lower levels of difficulty, while trying to flee from the creatures.

As noted above, Clarke is in a hospital, a human colony on Titan, a moon of Saturn, and this colony, of course, has all kinds of buildings, locations, and people who have succumbed to the necromorphic. If the designs of the monsters and were chilling, children made (among others) are quite disturbing. In Visceral Games have managed to take a step forward in the design of environments, but especially in the enemies, without having to reinvent the concept. Dead Space 2 is not a bad game, to the extent that gore does not seek, nor is not particularly morbid, but knows when and how to give a scare, and is, above all, disturbing. Does not make you look away, or seek to feel repulsed, but manages to create anxiety and discomfort, the real terror, without forgetting its rhythm.

The environment in most common human environment, the colony, we passed by houses, hospitals and even shopping normal locations, do not forget a touch of space science fiction, but, of course, are much closer to what is our daily reality, and it also helps create an atmosphere much better able to promote a certain empathy for its people . Shocks and, worse, enemies, you can expect anywhere, and ambush you at the most unexpected. Some are textbook, yes, but most are very well presented, and show that there is good work in studying the keys of the genre, the player know what is expected and therefore the right to use that to his advantage to really be surprised.

The gameplay does not leave you much time to breathe. Is currently paused, yes, but they foreshadow that something bad will happen, and usually lead to even more enemies, stronger, and worse for us. In fact, the average difficulty of the game can be considered high, so it may be advisable to start it as normal (there's even an easy option) instead of betting directly by top choices. And is that the enemies are tough, long, with a tendency to ambush quite significant, and even gives the impression that guns are not as effective. On several occasions we find ourselves in extreme situations, using all our resources, running, trying to survive, only to die. At no time did we say it's a game experience frustrating, especially because we can always choose the easiest difficulty option.

However, it is true that there are enemies there is no way of destroying them, a puzzle that, while not complex, it gets in our way at times very tense, and in general, we must be vigilant and know that we will lose lives . The most complex moments tend to bind to sequences that help to reel the game's story, some are playable as part of a voltage.

The control system has remained essentially unchanged, making it very accessible for those who not only play the first part but also those who are regulars in the genre, whether it is a somewhat unconventional, but efficient. The camera is placed above the shoulder, the image is free of interface almost completely, and when it makes an appearance very well integrated in the game (as is traditional, the energy bar is the lighting of the spine character, without going further) we still have a button to run instead of being part of a completely analog control, but the truth is that it works very well. The control is reliable, very important when the game starts to show it’s most difficult, hard and fast enemies, after the first half of their development.

The weaponry is quite varied, but in a continuous line with the first delivery. What has gained more importance with respect to the first part is using telekinetic powers, which will be used more often to have any chance of survival. Similarly, and following this general line, the title has better graphics and, especially, animations and even higher, with a soundtrack and special effects class. Moreover, as was the case with the first part, the title goes to market dubbed into Castilian, so that there will be problems when the game follows the story and dialogue. Even the signs are translated environments.

As we know, also one of the novelties of the game is its multiplayer, something that simply did not exist in the first part completely oriented single player mode. The story of Dead Space 2 has not been affected: its duration is significant for the genre, it replays for second (or more) rounds and we can also bet on the online game to try something else. There is a peak that is true, but offers sufficient quality. The plot has its attractions, but progress in key aspects (the infection, the role of the obelisk, etc.) Is often linked to the scenes, so we can be attentive to what happens, but part of the narrative is integrated also in the game, either fundamentally or as a resource to provide context.

The multiplayer offers four games to four, in which a group of players is put on human skin (in costumes similar to those of the protagonist), and the other team takes the role of necromorphic. Humans have different objectives, and necromorphic team has a mission to kill them all. When a team wins, reaching the targets set in the next turn changes the roles, so you need to know as much as human handled as in the skin of a necromorphic.

As anticipated, the most interesting thing is to put ourselves in the shoes of a necromorphic, which becomes the most attractive point of the multiplayer experience. On the human side, the reward is playable coordinated in team play, and that's attractive, but there is something special about being one of those damn bugs. Necromorphic There are different types to choose from, each with very different skills, and humans in turn, must choose weapons and equipments.

It includes a system of progression, with 60 ranks. We score points, and the greater is our range we have more options to get more powerful characters. The beauty of system is that the games are agile, very fast, and is not heavy can add more points. Of course, the progression is well determined and it is clear that only the most passionate players reach higher levels.

    Conclusions
The years have passed, and it's clear that Dead Space 2 fails to surprise as did the original, but has managed to reinvent itself. The turning point for the protagonist, his new position, serves to create interest, surprise, and offer much more, the same can be said of the colony on Titan in which environmental. Perhaps some aspects of the story does not look as good yarn as it should, but its plot is very well run and keeps us glued to the screen while permitting nerve. It is tense, and knows how to create such discomfort that distinguishes the true horror of the offal ranker, and finishes the job with an interesting multiplayer, a good additive to enhance its replay value.
