    Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X301

This successor to the ThinkPad X300, ThinkPad X301, is expected to resume the foundations of the X300 and now offers an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV U9300 at 1.2 GHz to 1.4 GHz or U9400 up 2GB of RAM, disk SSD 80GB or 128GB, Display Port a port in addition, a version of WiMax by the end of the year.

Some unique features of Lenovo ThinkPad X301

    • Its screen will display a resolution of 1440x900, and the machine will have several advantages. We will refine as we hear with options such as 3G modem, WiMax (rather wait for the end of the year), or a GPS directly under the hull ...

    • In addition, we found a DVD burner, a fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. It is also self-X301 that will, with something like 7 hours available, according to initial estimates.

    • The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 and displayed as a platform Centrino 2 Core 2 Duo low-power SU9400 at 1.4 GHz

    • It also has a 2 GB of DDR3 , a 120GB hard drive.

    • A graphics chipset integrated Intel GMA X4500HD.

    • A 13.3 -inch WXGA + LED Backlight with a resolution of 1440 × 900.

    • A webcam, a DVD super - end, a fingerprint reader interfaces and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , GPS ( optional) , 3G ( optional) , WiMAX (later in the year) , UWB , DisplayPort , VGA , Ethernet and USB 2.0.

    • The Power Manager has been enhanced to optimize the life [ independence ] of the battery.

    • Lenovo X300 was already a serious alternative to the MacBook Air. But the price lowered and the many options X301 may attract even more professionals.

Lenovo ThinkPad X300 was immediately positioned as a competitor of the more muscular MacBook Air. If it was for him the advantage of the smoothness, the X300 is a true ultraportable fully exploited by professionals in particular enjoying a real connection . The ThinkPad X301 is an update of the X300 which he borrowed the template and the 13.3-inch screen ( 440x900 pixels 1 ) .

The main changes relate to the architecture and components of the ultraportable PC . Instead of architecture Merom (Intel Core 2 Duo a 65 nm ), we find the latest core (45 nm ) running at 1.2 GHz (Intel Core 2 Duo ULV U9300 ) or 1.4GHz ( Intel Core 2 Duo ULV U9400 ), both supported by 2 GB of RAM. The other change concerns the storage, it passes from one SSD 64 GB to 80 GB disk and 128 GB.

    Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X301

The icing on the cake, the X301 can be customized as desired using a variety of options : 3G modem , modem, WiMax (by end of year) or GPS. In addition, the traditional barter X301 VGA DisplayPort output to run two monitors on the same connector. The ThinkPad X301 will be released overseas on August 26 in 2599 dollars ( $ 200 less than an X300) , when it should reach our shores in September. Apple should offer a update its MacBook Air at this time .

    Configuration:

    • Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 1.4 GHz
    • 2GB DDR3 SDRAM
    • 13.3 "1440 x 900, matte, LED Backlight
    • Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
    • 128GB Solid State Drive
    • Keyboard illumination
    • Guarantee period of 36 months
    • Microsoft Windows Vista Business

The use of Low Voltage processor SU9400 not only leads to a decent battery life of 180 minutes but also a low power consumption of just under 16 watts in Officebtrieb. This very low power consumption is almost the X302, the values of a netbook approached.

    Conslusion:

    • For business men is a light weight and long battery life of vital importance when it comes to the buying decision. Can the X301 there are these points. In terms of appearance, there is again no surprise at Lenovo. The design is simple, straightforward and completely reminiscent of the X200 or X300 predecessor. The smooth surface can be visible to any grease spots.

    • In contrast to the otherwise very good processing, is the mediocre torsional rigidity of the lid. Besides, the device is extremely stable. The hinges hold the lid on tight lot. Even for small shocks, such as those arising on a train in, not the cushion cover. I would not recommend you to buy this since there are a number of decent laptops available for the same.

    Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X301

A few weeks ago, when Intel’s Montevina rolled into town we saw a number of notebooks refreshed. Every company wanted to move their notebooks to the new platform, and Lenovo was one of the first out of the gate. Almost every ThinkPad received the Centrino 2 treatment, but one that was obviously missing was the flagship X300. This model uses Intel’s ultra-low voltage processor which was not included in the first part of Intel’s Centrino 2 release.
